First Avenue, junction of Flamborough Road, Lamplugh Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BRIDLINGTON
(PHASE 1)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along First Avenue,
junction of Flamborough Road, Lamplugh Lane, junction
of Flamborough Road and Park Avenue, junction of
Flamborough Road between the hours of
09.30 to 15.30.
The one-way system will become two way on
Lamplugh Lane, St Annes Road and Sands Lane.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway resurfacing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 18 November 2024.
The alternative route for persons affected by the
closure will be via:
First Avenue closure - First Avenue, North Marine
Drive, St Annes Road, Flamborough Road and vice versa
Lamplugh Lane closure – Lamplugh Road,
North Marine Drive, Sands Lane and vice versa.
Park Avenue closure - Park Avenue, Turmer Avenue,
Swanland Avenue and vice versa.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 13 November 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
