What is happening?

U114 HIGHCLIFFE FOOTWAY SPITTAL
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 3 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U114 Highcliffe Footway Spittal from the gable end of number 281 Highcliffe heading in a northerly direction for a length of 13 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th December 2024 until the 22nd December 2024.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 6th December 2024 until the 15th December 2024 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd December 2024.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via the front of number 281 Highcliffe through to number 278, continuing on around the rear of the properties until it reaches the rear of number 281.

The closure has been requested by Opus Utility Solutions Ltd on behalf of Scottish Power to renew and upgrade service. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
