What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
C71 DOXFORD TO CHRISTON BANK DOXFORD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C71 Doxford To Christon Bank Doxford for a distance of 40 metres, 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective for the 19th November 2024 until the 20th November 2024.
It is expected that road will be closed from the 19th November 2024 until the 20th November 2024 between the hours of 23:30 until 05:30.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C71, C69, B6347, B1340, C71 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management Ltd on behalf of Network Rail to lift out crossing to allow tamper to work through the area.
