TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (Yorkshire & Humber) (No.18) Order 2024 authorising the stopping up of a length and part width of Iron Street, an irregular shaped area of highway including a length of Lime Street and the whole of its carparking area, a length and part width of Stone Street and a length of Robert’s Street at Cleckheaton in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees. This is to enable development as permitted by Kirklees Council, under reference 2021/62/93567/E.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road,

Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/5834. They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Cleckheaton Library, Whitcliffe Road, Cleckheaton, BD19 3 DX.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 November 2024.
