THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

(BROAD STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK Traffic Management Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any pedestrians to proceed in the length of Broad Street from Orange Street/Great Albion Street/ Broad Street in a SW/SE/NW/NE direction to Waterhouse Street. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. For alternative route follow diversion on site. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 24th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 31st March 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(CHURCH LANE/DOCTOR HILL/OVENDEN WOOD ROAD, PELLON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Church Lane/Doctor Hill/Ovenden Wood Lane from its junction with Brackenbed Lane to Templars Gate for a distance of approximately 1085 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Pellon Lane, Pellon New Road, Moor End Road, Gibb Lane, Ovenden Wood Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th November 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.

(MIALL STREET, HALIFAX)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Chevron Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Miall Street from 40m south from junction with Rushton Street to 45m north from junction with Battinson Road for a distance of approximately 35 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Rushton Street, Queens Road, Battinson Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18h November 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30.

(MORLEY HALL LANE, LUDDENDENFOOT)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Morley Hall Lane from Morley Hall Cottage to No.6 Morley Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Morley Hall Lane, Blackwood Hall Lane, Booth House Road, Hand Carr Lane, Sowerby Lane, Brocks and vice versa.

N.B. All of the roads above are subject to restrictions on the size of vehicles permitted to access, therefore the diversion route will be used only by traffic adhering to these restrictions.

The junction of Sowerby Lane into Hand Carr Lane is signed ‘Suitable for cars only Maximum width 2m or 6’6” ‘.

The junction of Sowerby Lane into Brocks is signed ‘Unsuitable for HGVs’. The junction of Brocks into Morley Hall Lane is signed ‘Unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles’.

It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th November 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 18:00.

(SYKE LANE, LIGHTCLIFFE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Morrison Water Services have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Syke Lane from Bramley Lane to A58 Leeds Road for a distance of approximately 18 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via A58 Leeds Road, Upper Sutherland Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st December 2024. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(THORNHILLS LANE, CLIFTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Thornhills Lane from Thornhills Beck Lane to outside No. 52 for a distance of approximately 1000 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Jay House Lane, Highmoor Lane, Clifton Common, Clifton Road, A644 Wakefield Road, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road, Thornhills Beck Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 18th November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 6th December 2024. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(STATION APPROACH, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Centurion Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Station Approach from Rise Lane for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Ridge Road, A6033 Rochdale Road, Rise Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 21st November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 22nd November 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 21:00 & 05:00.

(SOWERBY CROFT LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Sowerby Croft Lane from Berry Moor Road/Shaw Lane to Ashgrove Farm for a distance of approximately 230 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Shaw Lane, Hob Lane, Harper Royd Lane, unaffected part of Sowerby Croft Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 2nd December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 4th December 2024. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(STAINLAND ROAD, BARKISLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stainland Road from its junction with Branch Road to Roseneath for a distance of approximately 210 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Branch Road, Saddleworth Road, Stainland Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 2nd December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd December 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00  &  17:00.

(WHITLEY LANE, SOUTHOWRAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Whitley Lane from its junction with Law Lane to Bamford Bros Farm for a distance of approximately 180 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. No alternative route available. Excavations will be plated over to allow access. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 2nd December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th December 2024. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(QUEENS ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Queens Road from its junction with Battinson Road to No.308 for a distance of approximately 15 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Hanson Lane, Spring Hall Lane, Pellon New Road, Pellon Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 4th December 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.

(JAY HOUSE LANE, CLIFTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Jay House Lane from its junction with Thornhills Beck Lane to Ox Close for a distance of approximately 750 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Jay House Lane, Highmoor Lane, Clifton Common, Clifton Road, A644 Wakefield Road, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road, Thornhills Beck Lane, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 6th December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 20th December 2024. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(LOWER BROCKWELL LANE, TRIANGLE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lower Brockwell Lane from its junction with Rochdale Road to Brockwell Lane for a distance of approximately 426 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Rochdale Road, West Street, Sowerby Street, Quarry Hill, Haugh End Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 6th December 2024 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 6th December 2024. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00  &  17:00.
