Southfield Lane - Temporary Prohitibion of driving order
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SOUTHFIELD LANE, SEATON ROSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Southfield Lane, Seaton Ross during the following
period 25 November 2024 at 08.00 hours until
16.00 hours on 26 November 2024. The road closure
is necessary to enable carriageway improvement
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within two days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
South End, Church Lane, North End, Breckstreet
Lane, Main Road, Laytham Road, Main Road, road from
Foss Dyke to Major Bridge. The diversion route will
be signed at the time of closure. The road will be
closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
