What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C201 HOLTON ROAD, WENHASTON WITH MELLS HAMLET
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C201 Holton Road, Wenhaston with Mells Hamlet from the B1123 for 100 metres southbound to facilitate safety during tree cutting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1123, the C203from the B1123 to the District Boundary, Blyford Lane, Bramford Road, Back Road, Heath Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2024 -14/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6710 CASTLE LANE, HAVERHILL
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6710 Castle Lane, Haverhill from Crowland Road to Castle Walk to facilitate the parking of materials and equipment to allow carriageway resurfacing on St Botolphs Way. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Crowlands Road, Burton End, North Avenue and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 21/11/2024 - 22/11/2024 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3626 CHERRY TREE ROAD, KINGSTON FARM ROAD AND KINGSTON ROAD, WOODBRIDGE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
* the U3626 Cherry Tree Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Kingston Faim Road to the junction with the B1438 Ipswich Road
* the U3626 Kingston Farm Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Cherry Tree Road to the junction with Kingston Road
* the U3626 Kingston Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Kingston Farm Road to the junction with the B1438 Station Road.
This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1438 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2024 - 15/11/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3125 COASTGUARD WALK, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3125 Coastguard Walk, Felixstowe from no. 6 for 15 metres north eastbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Orford Road, Herman De Stern Walk Tollemache Walk and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2024 -14/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019 (IPSWICH) (TOWN CENTRE) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (VARIATION N0.33) ORDER 2024
On 04/11/2024 Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 1,2,3,4 and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended which would substitute revision 2 of Map Tile GJ122 and GK122 as amended, in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile and revision 3 of Map Tile GK123 and GL123 as amended, in place of revision 2 of the same Map Tile and Schedule 7 of the 2019 order shall be amended accordingly. The effect of the order will be to introduce: No waiting at any time and No loading 11am - 4.30pm any day on:

* Carr Street (Z5U1058), Ipswich
* Comhill (Z5U1060) Ipswich
* Dial Lane (Z5U1011), Ipswich.
* Lady Lane (Heavy Duty Footway), Ipswich
* Lion Street (Z5U1014), Ipswich from its junctions with Cornhill to a point approximately 24 metres north of its junction with King Street (southern side of Lion Street) and 30 metres north of its junctions with King Street (northern side of Lion Street)
* Lloyds Avenue (Z5U1002), Ipswich from its junction with Cornhill to a point approximately 25 metres north of its juncton with Cornhill
* Princes Street (Z5U1069), Ipswich from its junction with Cornhill to its junction with King Street
* Providence Street (Z5U1003), Ipswich

* Tower Street (Z5U1004) (East), Ipswich. 2 bays running parallel to Church wall opposite property no. 13 -17 Tower Street. First bay opposite no. 13 starts 106 metres south of the junction with Tower Ramparts for 5.5 metres. Second bay opposite no. 15 -17 starts from 76 metres south of the junction with Tower Ramparts for 24 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works, the maintenance of the road or its services and to fulfil statutory duies. Blue Badge holders are also exempt from the order. A copy of the order, which comes into effect on 14/02/2025 and plan(s) showing the roads affected, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and at also at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich IP13DE, 9am - 6pm Monday; 9am - 7pm Tuesday; 9am - 6pm Wednesday and Thursday, 9am - 7pm Friday; 8.30am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sunday.
If anyone wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
