What is happening?

Norfolk County Council TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 (NORWICH) Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

GERTRUDE ROAD - from its junction with Sprowston Road for 32m eastwards to facilitate hydrant repair works from 18th to 20th November 2024 (may continue until the 1st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Gertrude Road, Lavengro Road, Mousehold Avenue, Silver Road, Sprowston Road.

JUNCTION ROAD - from its junction with Aylsham Road for 40m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council manhole cover repairs between 7:30 and 17:00 on 19th November 2024 (may continue until the 31st December 2024). Alternative route is via: Aylsham Road, Half Mile Road, Mile Cross Road, Drayton Road, Junction Road.

SURREY STREET - from its junction with Surrey Grove for 30m eastwards to facilitate construction works with a crane on rooftop. The road will be temporarily closed and traffic over the Road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load and/or unload between 21:00 on the 22nd November and 05:00 on the 23rd November 2024 (may continue until 4th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Surrey Street, Queens Road, St Stephens Roundabout, Chapel Field Road, All Saints Green and vice versa.

WATERLOO ROAD - 1) Waterloo Road from its junction with Angel Road to its junction with Albany Road; 2) Patteson Road (westbound) from its junction with Aylsham Road to its junction with Angel Road; 3) Patteson Road (southbound) from its junction with Aylsham Road to its junction with Angel Road; 4) Angel Road from its junction with Patteson Road to its junction with Eade Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council reconfiguration works on junction. The roads 1 and 2 will be temporarily closed and the roads 3 and 4 will be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 18th November 2024 to 16th March 2025 (may continue until the 17th May 2026). Alternative route is via: 1) Waterloo Road, Magpie Road, Magalen Road, Esdelle Street, Edward Street, St Augustines Street and 2) Aylsham Road and Waterloo Road.

(ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

COTMAN ROAD - from 40m west of its junction with Telegraph Lane East for 50m westwards to facilitate Anglian Water mains repair work from 12th to 14th November

2024 (may continue until the 26th December 2024). Alternative route is via: Heathside Road, Thorpe Road, Telegraph Lane East.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER INSTALLATION - 1) Branford Road (southern side) from 7m east of its junction with Spencer Street for 25m eastwards; 2) Calvert Street (western side) from 32m north-east of its junction with St. Georges Street to 62m south of its junction with St. Crispins Road; 3) Charles Square (eastern side) from 21m south of its junction with Dereham Road for 18m southwards; 4) Dolphin Grove (southern side) from 26m east of its junction with Nelson Street for 19m eastwards; 5) Heigham Street (south-western side) from 17m south-east of its junction with Orchard Street for 26m south-eastwards; 6) St. Marys Plain (northern side) from 7m east of its junction with Oak Street for 34m eastwards; 7) Patteson Road (north-western side) from 11m north-east of its junction with Aylsham Road for 18m north-eastwards; 8) St. Leonards Road (western side) from 34m north of its junction with Telegraph Lane West to 19m south-west of its junction with Saunders Court; 9) Stafford Street (southern side) from 7m east of its junction with Belvoir Street to 11m west of its junction with Heigham Road; 10) Starling Road (southern side) from 16m east of its junction with Waterloo Road for 20m eastwards; 11) Whitehall Road (southern side) from 10m west of its junction with Portersfield Road for 18m westwards; 12) Wingfield Road (north-western side) from 9m south-west of its junction with Aylsham Road for 10m south-westwards; and 13) Fishergate (south-eastern side) from 16m north-east of its junction with Fye Bridge Street for 31m north-eastwards to facilitate electric vehicle charger installation works. Traffic over the Roads 1 - 13 shall be temporarily prohibited to park, load, and/or unload for the duration of the works/period the restriction is necessary which is anticipated to be from 14th November 2024 to 28th February

2025 (may continue until 13th May 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A.

THE AVENUES - from 25m west of its junction with Lovelace Road for 50m westwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works. Traffic over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload on the 13th November 2024 (may continue until 25th December 2024). Alternative route is via: N/A. Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.

Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required.

The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention. Full details on the closures/restrictions are available at https://one.network.
