Skegby Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Hole Chamber Maintenance Works
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County council (Skegby road, Normanton on
Trent) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (BS24-269)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Normanton on Trent in the District of Bassetlaw The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road :
a. Skegby Road, Normanton on Trent - From its junction with Tuxford Road in a northerly direction for 100 metres
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours Tuesday 19th November 2024 Until 18:00 hours Monday 25th November 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Tuxford Road - Eastgate - Gracefield Lane - Marnham Road - Polly Taylors Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Tuesday 19th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Anglian Water to carry out man hole chamber maintenance works.
