Temporary Road Closures King's Road
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under
The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 -Section 14 (1)(A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
Road Closed To Vehicles For An Event.
King's Road to be closed from the junction of Sloane Square to the junction of Walpole Street. From 07.00hrs until 20.00hrs on Saturday the 16th of November 2024. Diverted through traffic may use, King's Road, Sydney Street, Fulham Road, Brompton Road, (A4) Brompton Road, Sloane Street, Sloane Square. Or Sloane Square, Follow the existing diversion route to Knightsbridge, then continue Knightsbridge, A4 Brompton Road, Brompton Road, Fulham Road, Sydney Street, King's Road.
The following Roads with be closed at the junction of the King's Road, to facilitate the event but will be marshalled to allow access or egress for residents, businesses and emergency services as and when practicable and safe to do so; Cadogan Gardens, Blackland Terrace, Lincoln Street, Cheltenham Terrace, Walpole Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
