Notice Of Making Of Temporary Traffic Order For Planned Works Affecting: Uxbridge Road, West Ealing.

Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4457 Uxbridge Road (bus lane suspension only), West Ealing - 2024. 

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve BT Openreach carrying out essential repair & maintenance.

Effect of order
1. The Order will suspend the westbound bus lane in Uxbridge Road, West Ealing from Dane Road junction to 143-145 Uxbridge Road (45 metres in total) so that all vehicles can use it on 4th November 2024 between the hours of 21.00hrs ending 00.00hrs (midnight).

2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect on 4th November 2024.

3. Whilst the suspension is in force no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load or unload a vehicle in the bus lane area.

4. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

5. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.

6. This Order does not apply to : 

(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.


Date order will come into force. 4th November 2024

Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 3rd May 2026 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 4th November 2024, whichever is sooner.
