Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Lake Hill, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 2100 hours on Thursday 21 November 2024 until 0500 hours on Friday 22 November 2024, or when the works has been completed, Lake Hill will be closed between Its junctions with Brownlow Road and Denness Road. The Isle of Wight Council (Locks Green Road, Porchfield, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Tuesday 19 November 2024 until 1700 hours on Tuesday 19 November 2024, or when the works has been completed, Locks Green Road, Porchfield will be closed from its junction with Colemans Lane and its junction with Town Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure Is required for utility works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 15 November 2024 and Friday 27 December 2024 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, lining, investigation hedging and quartering works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, It may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. The Isle of Wight Council (Firestone Copse Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 9 2024 - Firestone Copse Road will be closed between its junctions with Firestone Glade and Kite Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
The Isle of Wight Council (New Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2024 - New Road will be closed between its junctions with High Street and St Edmunds Walk. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 6 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours and 2200 hours on Saturday 16 November 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along St James Street between its junctions with High Street and Pyle Street. The closure is required for safety during Newport's Day of Christmas event. A further closure along Newport High Street between its junctions with St James Street and Copplns Bridge will occur between 1700 hours and 2230 hours to assist with safety during the Christmas lights switch on. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours until 1330 hours on Sunday 10 November 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, 1) No person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along a) Esplanade for Its entire length; b) Esplanade Road for its entire length; c) Battery Slip Way for Its entire length; d) Avenue Slipway for its entire length. 2) No person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along the Esplanade approximately 50 metres either side of the War Memorial located opposite its junction with Esplanade Road. The closure and restriction are required for safety during the Remembrance Day Parade. The diversion will be signposted locally.
