What is happening?

BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") proposes to make the Order named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which if they come into force will introduce various changes to the waiting or parking restrictions in the part or parts of the roads identified:

BRIGHTON & HOVE OUTER AREAS (WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING) AND CYCLE LANES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.* 202* (REF: TRO-35-2024)

  • Ainsworth Avenue, Braybon Avenue, Chailey Avenue, Clarendon Place (Portslade), Dyke Road Avenue, Foredown Drive, Gableson Avenue, Hangleton Lane, Hangleton Manor Close, Hillside, Longhill Road, Looes Barn Close, Redhill Drive, Sherbourne Way & Woodland Drive -Proposed Double Yellow Lines (No Waiting At Any Time)
  • Middle Street (Portslade) & West Street (Portslade) - Clarifying the descriptions of Double Yellow Lines (No Waiting At Any Time) on the order (no change on ground)
  • Longridge Avenue - Proposed Limited Waiting

  • 24 Bolney Road, 70 Court Farm Road, 67 Crown Road, 183 Hollingdean Terrace, 34 Hornby Road, 11 Kestrel Close, 136 & 146 Mouslecoomb Way, 1-3 Old Shoreham Road (Hove), St Michael's Road, 35 Stanmer Villas, 7 Staplefield Drive, Sutton Close (adjoining 51 Langley Crescent) & 13 Westfield Crescent - Proposed removal of Disabled Badge Holders Parking Place
  • Longridge Avenue - Proposed Timed Disabled Badge Holders Parking Place
  • Longridge Avenue - Proposed reduction of TaxiRank
  • Clarendon Place (Portslade) - Proposed Loading Bay
  • Ellen Street - Clarifying the descriptions of the Loading Bay on the order (no change on ground)

A copy of this Notice, the proposed Orders, plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to the Corporate Director City Services Brighton & Hove City Council, TRO Team, Room G40, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road Hove, BN3 3BQ quoting the TRO reference number shown above or by e-mail to TROcomment@brighton-hove.gov.uk or online (see details above) no later than 29 November 2024.
