Byron Park, Harrow, Temporary Road Closures For Fireworks Display

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW SECTION 16A ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS OR PARTS OF ROADS FOR BYRON PARK FIREWORKS DISPLAY

THE COUNCIL OF LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they have made an order under the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which would temporarily introduce road closures in the roads listed below to allow the Byron Park Fireworks Display to take place.

1. The general effect of the order would be to introduce the following temporary closures between 12:00hrs on 9th November 2024 until 00:00hrs on 10th November 2024.

2. No person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter or exit the following lengths of roads;

i. Peel Road, between both east and west junctions with Byron Road, Wealdstone and Stuart Road;

ii. Stuart Road, between its junctions with Peel Road and Belmont Road;

3. No person would cause or permit any vehicle to enter Canning Road at its junction with George Gange Way.

4. No person would cause or permit vehicles from turning right or left into Byron Road from its junction with Canning Road.

5. Nothing in Article 2, 3 and 4 to this order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(d) any vehicle being used in connection with this special event.

6. The provisions of this order will not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (b) are displayed.

7. Diversion Route via Stuart Road, Warham Road, Locket Road and Byron Road, Harrow and vice versa.
