What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford proposes to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

CITY OF SALFORD (HILL TOP ROAD - WALKDEN NORTH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024 and CITY OF SALFORD (HILL TOP ROAD AND SURROUNDING AREA) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Orders will be to introduce: NO WAITING AT ANY TIME: Hill Top Road: south side from a point 18m west of the western extended kerbline of Saxon Grove, in an easterly direction to a point 16m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Saxon Grove.

Saxon Grove: both sides from southern extended kerb line of Hill Top Road in a southerly direction for 10m. Teal Avenue: both sides from its Cul-de-sac end in a northerly direction for 15.5m, including all the turning head area.

Violet Lane: both sides from its Cul-de-sac end in a northerly direction for 15.5m, including all the turning head area.

20 MPH SPEED LIMIT: Hill Top Road, Saxon Grove, Saffron Street, Teal Avenue, Mauve Gardens, Violet Lane, Whitehead Street, John Street, Thorpe Street and Elms Close for their entire length.

Existing Orders are to be amended so as to the proposals.

PROPOSED SPEED CUSHIONS ON HILL TOP ROAD SALFORD

NOTICE is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to construct Road Humps in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below. If no objections are received, speed cushions will be constructed on the length of road as detailed in the Schedule below after 2nd December 2024. The proposals will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk or the postal addresses below. Road Humps
75mm high (+/- 15 mm), 3.7m in length 1.7m in wide, with gap between cushions not being less than 1m and not more than 1.4m. Maximum gap between cushions and adjacent kerb line not being more than 1.4m.

Outside No 4 Hill Top Road
41.6m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Bolton
Road to the centre of cushions.

Outside No’s 12 / 14 Hill Top Road,
78.5m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Bolton
Road to the centre of cushions.

Outside No’s 31 / 33 Hill Top Road
125.2m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Bolton Road to the centre of cushions.

Outside No’s 49 / 51 Hill Top Road
168.5m east of the eastern extended kerb line of Bolton Road to the centre of cushions.
