What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council 

(Clifton Lane And Clifton Road, Ruddington) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (R24-242)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Ruddington in the Borough of Rushcliffe. The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road. 
a. Clifton Lane, Ruddington - From its junction with Clifton Road, for a distance of 580 metres in a North Westerly direction.

b. Clifton Road, Ruddington - From its junction with Clifton Lane, to its junction with Old Station Drive.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 20:00 Hours until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

a. Clifton Lane, Ruddington - From its junction with Clifton Road, for a distance of 580 metres in a North Westerly direction.

b. Clifton Road, Ruddington - From its junction with Clifton Lane, to its junction with Old Station Drive.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required. 

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 11th November 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Friday 22nd November 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Clifton Road - B680 Wiltford Road - Ruddington Lane - Remembrance Way - Farborough Road - Green Lane - Clifton Lane and Vice Versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday 11th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months). 

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry Carriageway Patching Works.
