What is happening?

Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order_road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended) 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC140924403: The City of Manchester (Collyhurst Street, Harpurhey Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Collyhurst Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Oldham Road, Queens Road, Scropton Street, Rochdale Road.  

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Drainage Repairs. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 23rd November 2024 to 24th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on 23rd November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
