Swale, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SWALE AREA

Cambridge Road & School Road, Faversham, ME13 7PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cambridge Road & School Road, Faversham, from 19th November 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed 20m either side of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2040 Ospringe Road, B2040 South Road, Saxon Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Chestnut Street, Borden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chestnut Street, Borden, from 18th November 2024, with estimated completion by 6th December 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with School Lane and A2 Key Street Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chestnut Street, Maidstone Road, Oad Street, Pond Farm Road, The Street, Borden Lane, A2 London Road, Key Street, Key Street Roundabout and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Crown Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 2AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow defect works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Crown Road, Sittingbourne, from 19th November 2024, with estimated completion by 21st November 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Beechwood Avenue and High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any vehicles travelling southwest is via High Street (Milton High Street), B2006 High Street, Mill Way (Roundabout), B2006 High Street and St Pauls Street.

The alternative route for any vehicles travelling northeast is via B2006 Staplehurst Road, St Pauls Street, Mill Way, Saffron Way, North Street and High Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dully Road, Tonge, ME9 9NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dully Road, Tonge, from 2nd December 2024, with estimated completion by 3rd December 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Wood Street and Upper Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, Lynsted Lane, The Street, Christophers Row, Kingsdown Road, Dully Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dunlin Walk, Iwade. (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting pedestrians on part of Dunlin Walk, Iwade, from 2nd December 2024, with estimated completion by 5th December 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The footpath will be closed from the junction with Scholars Place footpath, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Sanderling Way.

 

Lower Road, Teynham, ME9 9LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Teynham, from 18th November 2024, with estimated completion by 19th November 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Whent’s Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Road, The Crescent, Station Road, A2 London Road, B2045 Western Link, Oare Road, The Street, Colegates Road, Bysing Wood Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Napleton Road & B2040 South Road, Faversham, ME13 8QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow the Faversham Active Travel Scheme to take place, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Napleton Road & B2040 South Road, Faversham, from 20th November 2024, with estimated completion by 22nd November 2024, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for Napleton Road is via B2040 South Road, Fielding Street and Mendfield Street.

The alternative route for B2040 South Road is via Stone Street, Preston Street, B2041 Newton Road, B2040 Crescent Road, Court Street, Quay Lane, Conduit Street, North Lane, South Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Russell Place, Oare, ME13 0QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow underground structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Russell Place, Oare, from 2nd December 2024, with estimated completion by 4th December 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 19, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
