Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

ASHFORD AREA

 

B2067 East Hill, Tenterden, TN30 6RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 East Hill, Tenterden, from 5th December 2024, with estimated completion by 6th December 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 11 and 13, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2067 East Hill, B2080 Appledore Road, B2067 Golden Square and B2067 East Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Canterbury Road, Brabourne.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Canterbury Road, Brabourne, from 18th November 2024, with estimated completion by 20th November 2024, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Manor Pound Lane and The Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Scots Lane, Stowting Court Road, Curteis Lane, B2968, Horton Downs, Blind House Lane, Swan Lane, A20 Main Road, Stone Hill, Plain Road, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Coach Road, Egerton, TN27 9BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Coach Road, Egerton, from 5th December 2024, with estimated completion by 6th December 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Ridgeview Cottage and 4 Dorne Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coach Road, Sandway, Boughton Road, Lenham Heath Road, Church Hill, Egerton Road, Field Mill Road, Stonebridge Green Road, Coach Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cranbrook Road, Tenterden, TN30 6UW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cranbrook Road, Tenterden, from 21st November 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Glendale, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cranbrook Road, A28 Rolvenden Road, A28 Rolvenden Hill, A28 Tenterden Road, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 The Street, New Pond Road, Goddards Green Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

East Mountain Lane, Kennington, TN25 4DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow street lighting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of East Mountain Lane, Kennington, from 2nd December 2024, with estimated completion by 3rd December 2024, between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Newchurch Road, Bilsington, TN25 7JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Newchurch Road, Bilsington, from 18th November 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between number 1 and Court Lodge Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Newchurch Road, Bonnington Road, Knoll Hill, Giggers Green Road, From Newchurch Town Boundary To Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary, From Newchurch To Junction with Newchurch Road Bilsington, Hony Wood Lane and Newchurch Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tile Lodge Road, Charing, TN27 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2024

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tile Lodge Road, Charing, from 5th December 2024, with estimated completion by 6th December 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tile Lodge Road, Charing Heath Road, A20 Maidstone Road, Station Road, Pluckley Road, Charing Heath Road, Egerton Road and Tile Lodge Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
