What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The East Sussex (C537 Monks Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road.
Temporary Road Closure
Monks Lane – from the junction with B2100 Cousley Wood Road to the junction with C82 Newbury Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2100 Cousley Wood Road – C82 Newbury Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 28 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6894 Dunsters Mill Road, Ticehurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road.
Temporary Road Closure
Dunsters Mill Road – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 13 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 15 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7841 Broom Lane, Frant) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Broom Lane – from the junction with C465 Hillswood Road to the junction with U7841 Broom Lane (KCC).
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via Broom Lane (KCC) – A264 Major York’s Road (KCC), Hungershall Park (KCC), High Rocks Lane (KCC) – C465 High Rocks Lane, Hillswood Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 22 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C461 Cansiron Lane, Cowden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cansiron Lane – from the junction with A264 Holtye Common to the junction with C461 Butcherfield Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C461 Butcherfield Lane – B2026 Edenbridge Road – A264 Colestock Road, Holtye Common and vice versa.
The Order commences 12 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (C461 Butcherfield Lane, Hartfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Butcherfield Lane – from the junction with B2026 Edenbridge Road to the junction with C461 Cansiron Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C461 Cansiron Lane – A264 Holtye Common, Colestock Road – B2026 Edenbridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 3 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C271 Fairglen Road & U7545 Buckhurst Lane, Wadhurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Fairglen Road – from the junction with B2100 Best Beech Hill to the junction with U7601 Best Beech Lane.
Diversion via C271 Faircrouch Lane – B2099 Station Hill, Station Road – B2100 Mayfield Lane, Best Beech Hill and vice versa.
Buckhurst Lane – from the junction with B2100 Best Beech Hill to the junction with U7885 Partridges Lane.
Diversion via B2100 Wadhurst Road – A267 Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield Road – B2099 Wadhurst Road, Riverhall Hill, Frant Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 11 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 November 2024 and 24 March 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7534/U7535 Sleepers Stile Road/Sweetings Lane/Lower Cousley Wood Lane, Wadhurst)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Sleepers Stile Road – from the junction with U7535 Lower Cousley Wood Lane for a distance of 75 metres in an easterly direction.
Sweetings Lane – from the junction with U7534 Sleepers Stile Road for a distance of 60 metres in a northerly direction.
Lower Cousley Wood Lane – from the junction with U7534 Sleepers Stile Road for a distance of 60 metres in a southerly direction.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via Neills Road (KCC) – Hoghole Lane (KCC) – B2100 The Slade, Cousley Wood Road – C82 Newbury Lane – C537 Newbury Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 19 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
