What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 - Kirklees Council

(Yates Lane, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yates Lane, Milnsbridge from a point outside property no. 15 Yates Lane to a point outside property no. 21 Morley Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Market Street, Whiteley Street, Shaw Lane, New Street, Manchester Road, Morley Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday 24 November 2024 06:00 hours and remain in force until 24 November 16:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(The Fairway, Fixby, Huddersfield)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of The Fairway, Fixby from a point outside property number 11 The Fairway to a point outside property number 19 The Fairway PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via The Fairway, Lightridge Road, Broomfield Road, The Fairway and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday 25 November 2024 for one day only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Miller Hill, Denby Dale, Huddersfield)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Miller Hill, Denby Dale, from its junction with Wakefield Road to its junction with Barnsley Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Wakefield Road, Barnsley Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 26 November 2024 and remain in force until 6 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to18 months if necessary).


(Scholes Moor Road, Scholes, Holmfirth)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Scholes Moor Road, Scholes, at a point outside Smithfield Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Scholes Moor Road, Cross Lane, Cross Gate Road, Dunford Road, Scholes Moor Road and vice versa

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 26 November 2024 and remain in force for until 28 November 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)


(Footpath Hud/169/50, Almondbury, Huddersfield)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Footpath HUD/169/50, Almondbury, Huddersfield from its junction with Castle Hill Side to a point at its summit of Castle Hill. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works. No diversion required.

It is intended that the closure will commence on 9 November 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 18 October 2024 and will remain in force until 1 February 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).


(Close Hill Lane, Newsome, Huddersfield)

(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Close Hill Lane, Newsome, from its junction with Blagden Lane, to its junction with Blue Bell Hill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Barcroft Road, Lockwood Scar, Woodhead Road, Taylor Hill Road, Back Stoney Lane, Stoney Cross Street, Blue Bell Hill and vice versa. 
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 14 November 2024 08:00 hours and remain in force until 22 November 2024 16:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary. Daily closure only).


(Long Tongue Scrog Lane, Huddersfield)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Long Tongue Scrog Lane, Huddersfield from its junction with Healey Green Lane, to its junction with Lane Side Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No Diversion It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 08:30 hours and remain in force until 12 November 2024 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Elmwood Avenue, Huddersfield)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Elmwood Avenue, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 1 Elmwood Avenue to a point outside property no. 11 Elmwood Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No Diversion, Access to be maintained. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 08:30 hours and remain in force until 15 November 2024 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(Glebe Street, Marsh, Huddersfield) 
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Glebe Street, Marsh, Huddersfield from its junction with Westbourne Road, to its junction with Regent Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Westbourne Road, Edgerton Grove Road, Edgerton Road, Luther Place and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 18:00 hours and remain in force for until 22 November 2024 23:59 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Pike Law Lane, Scapegoat
Hill, Huddersfield (No 2)) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) (No 2) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pike Law Lane, Scapegoat Hill from its junction with High Street, to its junction with Pike Law Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pike Law Road, Slaithwaite Gate, High Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 08:00 hours and remain in force for until 12 November 2024 18:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Lamb Hall Road, Longwood, Huddersfield)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lamb Hall Road, Longwood, from its junction with Raygate, to its junction with Gilead Road/Longwood Gate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Gilead Road, Longwood Edge Road, Raygate.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 and remain in force for until 15 November 2024 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Birkhouse Lane, Paddock, Huddersfield)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Birkhouse Lane, Paddock, from its junction with Manchester Road, to its junction with Paddock Foot PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Manchester Road, Castlegate, Trinity Street, Gledholt Road, Heaton Road, Church Street, Market Street, Shires Hill, Paddock Foot.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 12 November 2024 and remain in force for until 16 November 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Upper Fold, Honley, Holmfirth)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Upper Fold, Honley, from its junction with Southgate to a point just past Yorkshire Building Society PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion route as road is a dead end. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 November 2024 and remain in force approximately for one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Binns Lane, Holmfirth)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Binns Lane, Holmfirth at a point outside property no. 22 Binns Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Binns Lane, Cooper Lane, Greenfield Road, Ash Grove Road, Broad Lane, Upperthong Lane, Binns Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 12 November 2024 and remain in force for until 13 November 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).


(Moorside Road, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) (No 2) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moorside Road, Kirkheaton, from a point outside property no. 18 Moorside Road to a point outside property no. 30 Moorside Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Moorside Road, Moor Top Road, Heaton Moor Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 13 November 2024 and remain in force until 15 November 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
