Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
HIGH STREET AND STATION ROAD, STROOD
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the placing of equipment to allow a bridge inspection to be carried out -
High Street and Station Road, Strood – (a) north-east bound traffic in High Street will be prohibited from turning right into Station Road and (b) south-west bound traffic in Station Road will be prohibited from turning left into High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. A signed alternative route will be available via Commercial Road.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 20 November 2024 and are programmed for completion within two nights. The banned turns will be in place between 10pm and 6am each night when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

KNIGHT AVENUE, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply repairs to be carried out -
Knight Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the junction with Pier Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Corporation Road and Pier Avenue.
This order will come into force on Monday, 9 December 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 9 December 2024 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

SEYMOUR ROAD, RAINHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the connection of a rising main to a property -
Seymour Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Moor Street and the railway overbridge. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.
These works commenced under a five-day Notice on Monday, 11 November 2024, and will continue until 22 November 2024 under the authority of an order made by the Council on 12 November 2024.
This order will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are programmed for completion by 22 November 2024. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
