CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

STATION ROAD. LAWRENCE ROAD & CARGREEN ROAD-SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to the clock tower, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements and parking in Station Road, Lawrence Road and Cargreen Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Station Road will be closed to Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) between its junction with High Street, South Norwood and Nos. 1 to 7 Station Road.

b) The width restriction in Cargreen Road will be suspended to allow HGVs to use the road.

c) Parking in Lawrence Road and Cargreen Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

d) The island in Station Road on which the clock tower stands will be closed to pedestrians as a crossing point.

3. The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

4. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for HGV traffic will be via Selhurst Road, Lawrence Road, Cargreen Road, Station Road and reversed. During the closure of the road island, pedestrians will be required to cross the road at a point outside Nos. 1 to 7 Station Road.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle or person involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS WAVERLEY AVENUE. KENLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telegraph pole testing and tree cutting works on behalf of Openreach, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in Waverley Avenue, Kenley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) The carriageway of Waverley Avenue will be closed between the cul-de-sac and a point 12 metres southwest of that cul-de-sac.

b) The south-eastern footway of Waverley Avenue will be closed outside No. 22.

3. During the footway closure, pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway. Vehicular access will be maintained by Traffic Management Officers.

4. The Order will come into operation on 22 November 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any person or vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING ORDER

REMEMBRANCE DAY AND ARMISTICE DAY COMMEMORATIONS

ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to commemorate

Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day on the 10 and 11 November 2024 respectively, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily close to vehicular traffic and parking, except for

vehicles participating in the processions, those streets or lengths of street specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

3. The Order will come into effect on 10 November 2024 and will be re­introduced on 11 November 2024.

4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

5. Whilst the prohibition remains in force, diversion for displaced traffic in the Town Centre will be via Fell Road slip road and Park Lane. The diversion for traffic displaced by the Alwyn Close closure is via Dunsfold Way, Frensham Drive and Headley Drive.

Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to commemorate Remembrance Sunday on the 10 November 2024, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily close to vehicular traffic and parking, except for vehicles participating in the event, those streets or lengths of street specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

3. The Order will come into effect on 10 November 2024 and will be in effect for one day, although the road closures and restrictions will be in place only for as long as it takes for the procession to pass and normal traffic flow to be resumed.

4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
