A196 LINTONVILLE TERRACE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A196 Lintonville Terrace Ashington from its junction with Woodhorn Road heading north for a distance of 150 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 28th November 2024 until the 28th May 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 28th November 2024 until the 1st December 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th May 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Woodhorn Road, Northern Relief Road and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carryout carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
