Shropshire - Various Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to
any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below. It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 18th November 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order
will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4364 between Neenton and Cleobury North
Date & Duration: 24th November 2024 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-National Grid-Tree trimming - No excavation
Alternative Route : B4364, B4373, B4363, A4117, B4364
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5479 From Selattyn to Pant-Glas, Oswestry
Date & Duration: 20th November 2024 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Engineers to access existing utility infrastructure to install fibre cable for customer connection.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North through Upper Hengoed to Wern, Station Road, B4500, B4579
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Beamish Lane, Albrighton
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 5 days
Purpose: Road Closure-National Grid -67m trenching in tarmac road for reinforcement scheme
Alternative Route : Harriots Hayes Lane, County Lane, A41, Beamish Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Boraston Bank, Boraston
Date & Duration: 20th November 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Boundary box Install
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Tenbury Road, A4117, B4214, Boraston Bank
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Road, Uffington
Date & Duration: 24th November 2024 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, remedial works to defective
reinstatement.
Alternative Route : Church Road, B5062, A49, A5, B4380, Unnamed road North through Berwick Wharf
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lower Pulley Lane, Bayston Hill
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, remedial works
Alternative Route : Lower Pulley Lane, Pulley Lane, Lansdowne Road, Lythwood Road, Lyth Hill Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Marsh Lane, Cheswardine
Date & Duration: 19th November 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Remove sunken, fretting track and relay.
Alternative Route : High Street, Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road South East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Park Gate, Cleobury North
Date & Duration: 19th November 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-PRV Service
Alternative Route : Bent Lane, Oakwood Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Prees Level Crossing, Station Road, Prees
Date & Duration: 23rd November 2024 from 23:30 to 08:20 24th November 2024
Purpose: Road Closure - Drainage Maintenance
Alternative Route : B5476, Unnamed road East, Aldersley Lane, Shrewsbury Street, Mill Street
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Richmond Drive, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 9 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Cadent Gas, excavation required to remediate IP gas valves.
Alternative Route : Copthorne Park, Westwood Drive, Thornhill Road, The Mount, Richmond Drive
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Lower Wood, Leebotwood
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 30 days
Purpose: Road Closure due to storm damaged road
Alternative Route : A49, B5477, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road North East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using The Hem and Field Lane, Shifnal
Date & Duration: 20th November 2024 for 2 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Scrape carriageway, dig out ditches and grips
Alternative Route : Mill Lane, Hall Lane, A4169, Unnamed road East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A49 and Acton Scott
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water- Hydrant Rebuild chamber
Alternative Route : A49, Unnamed road North East, Henley Lane, Unnamed road West
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between A49 and Woolstaston, Leebotwood
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 from 23:00 to 06:00 19th November 2024
Purpose: Road Closure - Detailed Examination of underbridge using ladders.
Alternative Route : A49, B5477, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road North East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Stanwardine in the Fields
Date & Duration: 18th November 2024 for 21 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Planning for passing bays.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, B4397, Unnamed road North
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from Parking, waiting and loading on High Street, Mardol Head and Shoplatch, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 20th November 2024 from 15:00 to 20:00
Purpose: Shrewsbury Christmas Lights switch-on event
Alternative Route : Not applicable
