(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Blyth in the County of Northumberland.
B1328 Bridge Street from its junction with Havelock Street heading east for a distance of 270 metres
U9724 Percy Street for its entire length
U9513/U9514 Stanley Street for its entire length
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B1329 Inner Relief Road, Regent Street, Hodgsons Road, A193 Cowpen Road, Renwick Road, Broadway, Plessey Road, Park Road, Ridley Avenue and vice-versa.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th November 2024 until the 30th May 2025
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 30th November 2024 until the 21st March 2025 and that the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th May 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete carriageway and footway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
