What is happening?

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP1304193 COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.2) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-
FP1304193 Colne, Pendle from Point A (SD 3887 4396) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 170 metres to Point B (SD 3888 4396), and continuing in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 100 metres to Point C (SD 3889 4396)
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 29th October, 2024, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
