What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1368 (HAY STREET/GREEN END), BRAUGHING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1368 (Hay Street/Green End), Braughing from its junction with Braughing Byway Open to All Traffic No.029 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 76m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via B1368 (Hay Street/Dassels/Dassels Hill/unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road/Hare Street Road/High Street/Baldock Road), A10 (Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road) and B1368 (Buntingford Road/ Wickham Hill/Station Road/Green End).

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN CHESHUNT, TEWIN AND PUCKERIDGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of B156 Brookfield Lane West, Cheshunt from its junction with A10 Great Cambridge Road north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with B156 Halfhide Lane, a distance of approximately 331m. An alternative route will be via A10 Great Cambridge Road, Church Lane, B156 Flamstead End Road and Brookfield Lane West or via A10 Great Cambridge Road and B156 (Halfhide Lane/Brookfield Lane West).

2. that length of B1000 Hertford Road, Tewin from its westernmost junction with B1000 Waterside south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B1000 Welwyn Road, a distance of approximately 4642m. An alternative route will be via B1000 Waterside, A1000 Mundells, B195 (Black Fan Road/ Cole Green Lane/Birchall Lane), A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road), A119 (Cross Lane/North Road) and B1000 Welwyn Road.

3. that length of Tollsworth Way, Puckeridge from its junction with Huntsman Close south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 207m. An alternative route will be via Huntsman Close and High Street. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.

However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEATH DRIVE, WARE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Heath Drive, Ware from its westernmost junction with Kingsway north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Kingsway.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STANDON GREEN END, HIGH CROSS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Standon Green End, High Cross from its junction with Ermine Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 400m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Ermine Street, High Road, Cambridge Road, Anchor Lane, A602 Tonwell Bypass, Sacombe Pound, Munden Road, Whitehill, Potters Green and Standon Green End.

The Order is needed because replacement of an existing utility pole and tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC SYSTEM ON GREEN END LANE, DANE END) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding along that length of Green End Lane, Dane End from its junction with Whempstead Lane north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”) other than in a northerly direction only, when signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via Green End Lane, Green End, Church Lane, Munden Road and Whempstead Lane. The Order is needed to manage traffic during the sale of Christmas Trees at ‘Dane End Christmas Tree Farm’. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD, HERTFORD HEATH, STANDON, DANE END, WARE, HUNSDON, STEANSTEAD ABBOTTS AND GREAT HORMEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:- 1. that length of The Folly, Hertford from its junction with Bull Plain north eastwards to its junction with Thornton Street, a distance of approximately 132m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Port Hill, Hertford from its junction with B158 Port Hill south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Mansfield Gardens, Hertford from its junction with B158 Bengeo Street south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. the road leading to Nos.10-16 Hoe Lane, Hertford Heath from its junction with Hoe Lane north westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Churchfields, Standon from its junction with Station Road south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. that length of Norwood Close, Hertford from its junction with Edmunds Road south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. that length of Founceley Avenue, Dane End from its junction with Church Lane south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Gladstone Road, a distance of approximately 310m. An alternative route will be via Church Lane and Gladstone Road.

8. that length of Rolleston Close, Ware from its junction with Wulfrath Way south westwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

9. that length of Tanners Way, Hunsdon from its junction with B180 High Street westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

10. the road leading to Nos.73-99 Cappell Lane, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with Cappell Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

11. the road situated to the rear of Nos.49-73 the Wick, Hertford from its junction with Desborough Close north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

12. that length of Horseshoe Hill, Great Hormead from its junction with B1368 (unnamed road) south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Willow Close, a distance of approximately 173m. An alternative route will be via B1368 (unnamed road), B1038 (unnamed road), Worsted Lane and Horseshoe Lane.

13. that length of Tamworth Road, Hertford from its junction with Raynham Street north eastwards to its junction with Rowleys Road, a distance of approximately 419m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD, STAPLEFORD, WATERFORD AND GREAT AMWELL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:- 1. that length of Horns Road, Hertford from its junction with the B158 Bullocks Lane roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 388m.

An alternative route will be via B158 (Bullocks Lane/Pegs Lane/ Hale Road), A414 Gascoyne Way, West Street and Horns Road or Horns Road, West Street, A414 (Gascoyne Way/ Hertingfordbury Road), the A119 Cross Lane roundabout, A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way) and B158 (Hale Road/ Pegs Lane/ Bullocks Lane).

2. that length of A119 High Road, Stapleford/Waterford from a point 422m south east of its junction with Church Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Bullsmill Lane, a distance of approximately 855m.

An alternative route will be via A119 (High Road/North Road/ Cross Street), A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/ London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road) and A119 (Hertford Road/High Road).

3. that length of Cautherly Lane, Great Amwell from its junction with A1170 Pepper Hill north eastwards to its junction with Madgeways Lane, a distance of approximately 300m. An alternative route will be via A1170 Pepper Hill and Madgeways Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 30 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VANCOUVER ROAD, TURNFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the eastbound carriageway of Vancouver Road, Turnford from its junction with Yukon Road south eastwards to its junction with A10 Great Cambridge Road, a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A10 Great Cambridge Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BONNYS ROW, HIGH WYCH AND SCHOLARS HILL, WARESIDE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Bonnys Row, High Wych from its junction with Bakers Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with High Wych Lane, a distance of approximately 844m. An alternative route will be via Bakers Lane, Wallace Road, Fryars Lane, Gangies Hill and Beanfield Road or Bakers Lane and High Wych Lane.

2. that length of Scholars Hill, Wareside from its junction with C41 (unnamed road) north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B1004 Ware Road, a distance of approximately 947m. An alternative route will be via C41 (unnamed road) and B1004 Ware Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(A507 CLOTHALL ROAD, BALDOCK, CLOTHALL AND RUSHDEN, A507 BALDOCK ROAD, RUSHDEN, COTTERED AND BUNTINGFORD) (7.5 TONNES WEIGHT LIMIT) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend The Hertfordshire (A507 Clothall Road, Baldock, Clothall and Rushden, A507 Baldock Road, Rushden, Cottered and Buntingford) (7.5 Tonnes Weight Limit) Order 2023 so that agricultural vehicles are exempt from the weight limit on that length of the A507 as defined in that Order.
