What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STATION ROAD, BROGBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Brogborough 20 metres either side of the railway.
This temporary closure is required to enable a structural examination to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 1 December 2024 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road and the A507 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(CRAWLEY ROAD, BOURNE END, CRANFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Crawley Road, Bourne End, Cranfield outside Newlands Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable defect remedial works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 November 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Crawley Road, Cranfield Road, High Street, Chicheley Road, Bedford Road, Newport Road, Main Road, Cranfield Road, Astwood Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 November 2024 for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON POPPY DRIVE, GLEBE ROAD AND
FLITWICK ROAD, AMPTHILL
Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising; For facilitating the passage of traffic on the roads or any other roads of any class of traffic (including pedestrians); The waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Ampthill:-
1. Glebe Road, both sides, from the junction with Flitwick Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
2. Flitwick Road, east side, from the junction with Glebe Road, extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
3. Flitwick Road, east side, from the junction with Glebe Road, extending in a southwesterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
4. Poppy Drive, both sides, from the junction with Flitwick Road, extending in an easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
5. Flitwick Road, east side, from the junction with Poppy Drive, extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
6. Flitwick Road, east side, from the junction with Poppy Drive, extending in a southwesterly’ direction for approximately 10 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A 40MPH
SPEED LIMIT ON BEDFORD ROAD, BROGBOROUGH
Reason for proposal: The signage is already in situ but the Legal Order required to enforce this is missing so we must re-consult in order to fulfil our statutory obligations.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Bedford Road, Brogborough:-
1. Bedford Road, from a point approximately 30 metres south-west of a point in line with the south-west flank wall of No.6 Bedford Road extending in a northerly direction for approximately 630 metres.
