ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the M1 Motorway, in the County of West Northamptonshire, due to a damaged concrete barrier.
The effect of the Order will be to continue to impose a speed limit of 50 miles per hour on
(a) the southbound carriageway of the M1 from a point 390 metres south of the tip of the nosing at its junction with the exit slip road at Junction 15, to a point 229 metres south of the tip of the nosing at its junction with the entry slip road at Junction 15; and
(b) the northbound carriageway of the M1 from a point 229 metres south of the tip of the nosing at its junction of the exit slip road at Junction 15, to a point 390 metres south of the tip of the nosing at its junction with the entry slip road at Junction 15.
The speed restriction will be in operation 24 hours a day, until works to repair the damage can be carried out.
The Order will come into force at 08:00 hours on Wednesday 13th November 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance and special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction.
