What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(BOWER LANE, EATON BRAY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bower Lane, Eaton Bray between Bower Close and Medley Lane.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 to 29 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B489, B440, Eaton Bray Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(FRIARS WALK, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Friars Walk, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 November to 6 December 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A5183, B489 and Icknield Street and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(CLARKES WAY AND REDHOUSE COURT, HOUGHTON REGIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the lengths of Clarkes Way and Redhouse Court either side of the war memorial.
This temporary closure is required to enable footway and carriageway pedestrianisation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 25 November to 6 December 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Clarkes Way and Redhouse Court.
The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, Toddington between High Street and Princess Street.
This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing patching and civils work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 29 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B579,B510 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STANBRIDGEFORD ROAD, TOTTERNHOE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Stanbridgeford Road, Totternhoe between the river and the end of the cul-de- sac.
This temporary closure is required to enable bridge improvement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 15 November 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure, access to residents will be maintained.
The Order will come into operation on 14 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INSTALL A KERB BUILD OUT ON WEST STREET, DUNSTABLE
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, proposes to install a kerb build out on West Street, Dunstable.
A kerb build out is proposed to be sited at the following location in Dunstable:- West Street, at a point approximately in line with the east flank wall of No. 302 West Street.
