ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Headington, Footpath No.320/11 1/20 Date of Order: 4 November 2024 Coming into force: 13 November 2024
This Order is being introduced because of the development of the Global Health Building off Old Road, east of Mileway 111/20 Gardens and next to the NDM Research Building. The temporary diversion is required for the course of the construction period, but a permanent (already approved) realigned path will be installed at the earliest opportunity. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of Footpath No.320/111/20, the work is anticipated to be completed 14 November 2025.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath.
Access for cyclist and pedestrian will be maintained. The nearby alternative route will be signed locally. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. The order will remain in force for 6 months and may be extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport. (Ref: T14157/AC)
