Wivelsfield 22b (part))
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024
To protect public safety during a housing development, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpaths:
Temporary Footpath Closure
The whole of Public Footpath Wivelsfield 10b will be closed to all users between TQ 3434 2021 and TQ 3408 2023 for 260 metres. Part of Public Footpath Wivelsfield 22b will be closed to all users between TQ 3435 2009 and 3434 2021 for 127 metres.
Unfortunately, there is no alternative route for Wivelsfield 10b at this time but one may become available later. An alternative route for Wivelsfield 22b will be available roughly parallel to the east of it.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 23 November 2024, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpaths still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (C6 Green Road, Wivelsfield Green)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under
Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Green Road – from the junction with B2112 Ditchling Road to the junction with C6 South Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C6 South Road – C71 St Helena Lane, Middleton Common Lane, Folders Lane East – B2112 Ditchling Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 04:00hrs between 11 and 13 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
