What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2052 George Hill Road, Broadstairs, CT10 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 George Hill Road, Broadstairs, on or after 18th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Latimers, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via George Hill Road, Convent Road, Beacon Road, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Green Lane, B2052 George Hill Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Crow Hill, Broadstairs, CT10 1HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crow Hill, Broadstairs, on or after 18th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2052 Stone Road and Kings Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Avenue, Knights Avenue, B2052 Stone Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Gloucester Avenue, Margate, CT9 3DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gloucester Avenue, Margate, on or after 3rd December 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of B2051 Palm Bay Avenue to outside number 72, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Palm Bay Avenue, Leicester Avenue, Lonsdale Avenue, Gloucester Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hawley Square, Margate, CT9 1NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawley Square, Margate, on or after 19th November 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 15 to number 16, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2055 Hawley Square, B2055 Churchfield Place, B2055 Churchfields, St Johns Street, St Johns Road and Addington Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Quex Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Quex Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 2nd December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A28 Canterbury Road to outside number 41, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Quex Road, Streete Court Road, Victoria Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
