NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL THE HAMPSHIRE (BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE NO.30) (PARISH OF SHERBORNE ST JOHN - FOOTPATH NO. 502) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order, made on 10 October 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath from its current alignment commencing at SU 6266 5580 and proceeding in a north-westerly direction for approximately 160 metres to a junction with Sherborne St John Footpath 14a.
The proposed diversion route will commence at SU 6266 5580 and proceed in a northerly direction following an enclosed path for approximately 199 metres to a junction with Sherborne St John Footpath 14b, approximately 120 metres to the north-east of the current terminus.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ and at the offices of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, RG21 4AH; or online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. Copies of the Order and the map can be provided on request. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Head of Countryside Access, Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ or via e-mail to row.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference:- PPO 5243 no later than 06 December 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

It may also be made public if the matter is referred to the Planning Inspectorate. Your data will be retained for a maximum period of 3 years from the date that the application is resolved. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Hampshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
