Allerford Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Signal & Telecom Testing Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parishes of Norton Fitzwarren and Oake Temporary Closure of Allerford Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Allerford Road - from 270 metres south-east of the junction with Hillfarrance Road, south-eastwards for a total distance of 121 metres. This Order will enable Network Rail to carry out signal and telecoms testing works.

The Order becomes effective on 7th November 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th November 2024 and last until 12th November 2024 between the hours of 22:00 - 06:00 for a total of 8 hours.
