Public Footpath FP0110004 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP0110004 CATON & FP0115022 HALTON, LANCASTER CITY )
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 10th November, 2024, remaining in force until the 10th January, 2025, or until the works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over those lengths of Public Footpaths indicated below:-
Part of Public Footpaths FP0110004 Caton & FP0115022 Halton, Lancaster, from Point A (SD 5287 – 6526) in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 300 metres to Point B (SD 5302 – 6545).
The temporary closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
