What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE
COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SANDSACRE ROAD, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Sandsacre Road, Bridlington between the junctions of
Sandsacre Avenue and Sewerby Road commencing
25 November 2024 to allow resurfacing works to be
carried out safely. The road closure is necessary to
enable the works to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed 6 December 2024.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Sandsacre Avenue, Wheatley Drive,
Sewerby Road and vice versa. The diversion route
will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be
closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for
emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians.
