U3072 Town Close Newton-by-the-Sea - Temporary Road Closure

U3072 TOWN CLOSE NEWTON-BY-THE-SEA
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U3072 Town Close Newton-by-the-Sea from 24 metres northwards of its junction with the U3072 Rose Cottage to Town Close Link heading northwards for a distance of 775 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 2nd December 2024 until the 11th December 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 2nd December 2024 until the 4th December 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th December 2024.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre to carry out mole ploughing for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
