Thomas Avenue - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Connection Works
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Thomas Avenue, Radcliffe On Trent) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (R24-264)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Radcliffe on Trent in the Borough of Rushcliffe The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road :
a. Thomas Avenue, Radcliffe on Trent - From its junction with Meadow End in a northerly direction for 100 metres
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows : From 08:00 hours Monday 11th November 2024 Until 17:00 hours Friday 29th November 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Meadow End - Northfield Avenue - A52 - Thomas Avenue and vice versa The Order will come into force on 11th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas connection works.
