What is happening?
Derbyshire County Council Temporary Road Closure
Unnamed Section Of A511 (A50 Overbridge), Foston Interchange
WHEN: 27 November to 04 December 2024 (20:00 to 05:00)
WHERE: Unnamed section of A511 from A50 to Uttoxeter Road, Foston (A50 Overbridge) between the northern and southern Foston Interchange roundabouts.
REASON: To facilitate bridge joint replacement on structure over A50 network.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Northbound diversion: A511 Watery Ln; A50 westbound on slip; A50 westbound to roundabout Jct. with A515, Sudbury; A50 eastbound; A50 off slip to A511 Uttoxeter Rd, Fostern Interchange. Southbound diversion: A511 Uttoxeter Rd; A50 eastbound on slip; A50 eastbound; A50 off slip to Hilton Interchange; A516 Derby Rd; A50 westbound on slip at Hilton Interchange; A50 westbound; A50 off slip to A511 Watery Ln, Fostern Interchange.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
