What is happening?

Hale Road (B3007) Farnham
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (a) Hale Road (B3007) Farnham as extends from its junction with (A325) Hale Roundabout Farnham and for a distance of 140 metres in a southerly direction; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in the town of Farnham in the Borough of Waverley) (50 MPH Speed Limits and Amendment) Order 2013” made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in Part (a) of this Notice.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection with construction works for, or on behalf of OCU Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 02 December 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Jubilee Lane (D5307) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Jubilee Lane (D5307) Farnham as extends from its junction with (5301) Boundstone Road to its junction with (X84035) Vine Lane and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Jubilee Lane (D5307) and Clarks Hill (C123) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Jubilee Lane, Sandrock Hill Road, and Boundstone Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 December 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Tilford Road (C28) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilford Road (C28) Farnham as extends from its junction with (X68233) Lions Mouth Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Woodgreen House”. Alternative Route: Tilford Road, (B3001) Waverley Lane, (B3001) Farnham Road, Thursley Road, Pitch Place, Thursley Road, and Tilford Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate repair/replacement of signage at the “Duke of Cambridge” Public House for, or on behalf of Total Resources UK. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 8pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 November 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

A287 Sturt Road and A287 Bell Road, Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 November 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times via a walkway provided on the road. Due to the nature of the works and the narrow width of the carriageway, access to premises within the affected length of road will not be maintained for the duration of the works via Liphook Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

  2. the entire length of A287 Bell Road, Haslemere (including both arms of its junctions with A286 Midhurst Road). Alternative Route – B2131 Bell Road (West Sussex), B2131 Linchmere Road, (West Sussex), B2131 Haslemere Road (Hampshire), B2131 London Road, Liphook (Hampshire), A3 Portsmouth Road (Highways England), A333 Portsmouth Road, A287 Hindhead Road and A287 Church Road.

Various Roads in Waverley

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council High Thicket Road (D120) Dockenfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing, pre-patching/ patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 November 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

  1. that length of D120 High Thicket Road, Dockenfield which extends from its junction with Dockenfield Street to its junction with Old Lane. Alternative Route – D120 Old Lane and C26 The Street;
  2. that length of A286 Shepherds Hill and A286 Midhurst Road, Haslemere which extends from the junction with Lower Street to the junction with Bell Road. Alternative Route – A286 Midhurst Road/Bell Road/Haslemere Road/Midhurst Road/Dodsley Lane, A272 Easbourne Lane/Tillington Road/ Pound Street/New Street, A283 East Street, A272 North Street, A283 London Road/Petworth Road and B2131 Rodgate Lane/Petworth Road or vice versa;
  3. that length of A287 Churt Road, Churt which extends from its junction with Tilford Road to its junction with Beacon Hill Road.   4. that length of D113 The Long Road, Rowledge which extends from its junction with Summerfield Lane to its junction with Lickfolds. Alternative Route – D113 Fullers Road, D5302 High Street, D5302 Manley Bridge Road, D5301 Boundstone Road, D115 Gardeners Hill Road and D115 Summerfield Lane.
