What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Haybridge Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Haybridge Lane - from the junction with Glencot Lane, southwards for a total distance of 335 metres.

This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main Works (Closure lifted for Christmas period 23rd December 2024 – 2nd January 2025).

The Order becomes effective on 21st November 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 25th November 2024 until 22nd December 2024 and 3rd January 2025 and last until 15th January 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 41 days.
