Horseshoe Crescent (D3417) Camberley - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Telegraph Pole Installation And/Or Telegraph Pole Replacement Works

What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Horseshoe Crescent (D3417) Camberley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 05 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horseshoe Crescent (D3417) Camberley as extends from its junction with (D3418) Berkshire Road to its junction with (D3418) Berkshire Road. Alternative Route – Horseshoe Crescent; Hampshire Road; and Berkshire Road. The Order is required to allow telegraph pole installation and/or telegraph pole replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over two days between the hours of 9.30am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 19 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Station Road (A3046) Chobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 05 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (A3046) Chobham as extends from its junction with (X68450) Milford Green to its junction with the access to the properties known as “Oriel Cottage” and “Oakhurst”. Alternative Route: (A3046) Station Road, (A3046) High Street, (A319) High Street, (A319) Chertsey Road, (A319) Chobham Road, (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Chertsey Road, (A245) Six Crossroads Roundabout, (A245) Shores Road, (A3046) Chobham Road, and (A3046) Station Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate culvert replacement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks, between the hours of 07.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday only, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure while works are in place, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D3471 St Catherines Road, Frimley/Frimley Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 5 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3471 St Catherines Road, Frimley/Frimley Green which extends from its junction with D3551 Regent Way to its junction with D3471 Queensway. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works, pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. 

 Alternative Route – D3471 Wharf Road, B3411 Frimley Green Road, B3411 Church Road, B3411 Frimley High Street, A325 Portsmouth Road, B311 Chobham Road, D3485 Tomlins Avenue, D3485 Alphington Avenue, D3487 Melville Avenue and D3551 Regent Way.
