RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd wedi gwneud Gorchymyn sydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o Lwybr Troed Cyhoeddus Rhif 2 yng nghymuned Bangor o bwynt A (Cyfeirnod Grid Arolwg Ordnans SH 58267, 73103) ar gyffordd Ffordd Siliwen gyferbyn ar eiddo a chydnabyddir fel Rhif 2 Bron Menai, i lawr y trac, yn gyffredinol mewn cyfeiriad gorllewinol i lawr tuag at y Tŷ Cychod ger y hen Faddonau ac i lawr at lannau’r Afon Menai, hyd at bwynt B (Cyfeirnod Grid Arolwg Ordnans SH 58071, 73049) pellter oddeutu 215 metr.
Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar sail iechyd a diogelwch i’r cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith i osod prif bibell ar ran Dŵr Cymru.
Yn anffodus, nid oes llwybr amgen ar gael.
Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar y 1af o Dachwedd 2024 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na chwe mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua tair wythnos. Os na chwblheir y gwaith o fewn chwech mis gellir ymestyn y Gorchymyn am gyfnod pellach o chwe mis gyda chaniatâd Llywodraeth Cymru.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.2 IN THE COMMUNITY OF BANGOR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd Council have made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding in either direction along that length of Public Footpath No.2 in the Community of Bangor from point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference SH 58267, 73103) at the junction with Siliwen Road opposite the house known as No.2 Bron Menai, down the track, in a general westerly direction towards the Boathouse near the old bath houses and right down to the shores of the Menai Straits to point B (OS Grid Ref. SH 58071, 73049), a distance of approximately 215 metres.
The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works to place a mains pipe on behalf of Welsh Water.
Unfortunately, there is no suitable alternative route.
The Order came into effect on the 1st of November 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. If the work is not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a further period of six months with the approval of the Welsh Government. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately three weeks.
