North Petherton, Temporary Closures Due To New Connection Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of North Petherton Temporary Closure of Dancing Hill, High Street and North Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Dancing Hill - from the junction with High Street and North Street, westwards for 155 metres; High Street - from the junction with Watery Lane northwards, to include both spurs to North Street, for 193 metres; and North Street - from the junction with Dancing Hill, eastwards for 47 metres. A total distance of 395 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out new connection works.

The Order becomes effective on 5th November 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. These works are expected to commence on 11th November 2024 and last until 13th December 2024 (24hrs per day) between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 33 days.
