Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

(Brantham Road, Lawford)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brantham Road, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 25m north east of the junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction (overpass only). The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th November 2024 for 3 nights (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EC30072850089 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while street lighting repair works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative HGV route is available via The Causeway, Brantham Road, Brantham Hill, Ipswich Road, The Street, Main Road, The Heath, Ipswich Road, A14, A12, Crown Interchange, Ipswich Road, St Andrews Avenue, Harwich Road, Parsons Heath, Fox Street, John De Bois Hill, Colchester Road, Harwich Road, Wignall Street, Coxs Hill, Dale Hall Roundabout, Brantham Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 7th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Milton Road, Dovercourt)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Milton Road, Dovercourt in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Kingsway to its junction with Orwell Road a distance of approximately 160m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th December 2024 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373304 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Orwell Road, Marine Parade, Kingsway and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 8th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Windmill Road, Bradfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Windmill Road, Bradfield in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 100m north west of its junction with Steam Mill Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th November 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30035966798 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Windmill Road, Heath Road, Harwich Road, Jenkins Hill, Brickmans Hill, Ship Hill, Station Road, The Street, Heath Road and vice versa (with access only into Windmill Road).

The Order will come into effect on 8th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
