Thurrock, Temporary Road Closure For Roundabout Installation

A1089 TRUNK ROAD (MARSHFOOT INTERCHANGE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A1089 Trunk Road in the Unitary Authority of Thurrock, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed in the vicinity thereof by contractors working on behalf of the Unitary Authority of Thurrock.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the 24-hour closure of the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A1089 at Marshfoot Interchange (A126). This measure is in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake the installation of a new roundabout at Marshfoot Road T-Junction.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 5 months starting on or after
Monday 11th November 2024.
The Order will come into force on 9th November 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by closure will be diverted southbound on the A1089 to ASDA Roundabout and return. The temporary closure and diversion signs will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
