Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

DOVER AREA

Abbey Top, Maydensole, CT15 5HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Abbey Top, Maydensole, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Roman Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roman Road, Little America, Waldershare Road, Chapel Lane, Homestead Lane, Downs Road, Church Hill, Forge Lane, Vicarage Farm Road, Abbey Top and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Beaute Lane, Shatterling, CT3 1JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beaute Lane, Shatterling, on or after 29th November 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Rusham Road and A257 Roman Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rusham Road, Nash Road, Elmstone, Nash Road, A257 Ash Bypass, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Roman Road, Beaute Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cannon Street, Deal, CT14 6QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cannon Street, Deal, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 8, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cannon Street, Golf Road, Harold Road, College Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Coombe Valley Road, Dover, CT17 0HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coombe Valley Road, Dover, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the entrance to Buckland Hospital, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Coombe Valley Road, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, Crabble Road, Crabble Avenue, Hillside Road, Bunkers Hill Road, St Radigunds Road and Barwick Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Barwick Road, St Radigunds Road, Bunkers Hill Road, Hillside Road, Crabble Avenue, Crabble Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, Cherry Tree Avenue, A256 London Road and Coombe Valley Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Easole Street, Sandwich Road & Mill Lane, Nonington, CT15 4HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Easole Street, Sandwich Road & Mill Lane, Nonington, on or after 13th November 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Easole Street will be closed will be closed between the junctions of Butchers Lane and Mill Lane.

Sandwich Road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Lane and Nonington Court.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, Hammill Road, Beacon Lane, Marshborough Road, New Street, The Street, Guilton, A257 Pedding Hill, A257 Roman Road, A257 Gobery Hill, A257 High Street, B2046 High Street, B2046 Adisham Road, Snowdown Road, Holt Street, Easole Street and vice versa.

Mill Lane will be closed from the junction of Easole Street to outside Bramley Cottage.

For access from Sandwich Road, the alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, Grannies Lane, Mill Top, Mill Lane and vice versa.

For access from Easole Street, the alternative route for any through traffic is via Easole Street, Holt Street, Nightingale Lane, The Street, Barfreston Road, Pie Factory Road, Sandwich Lane, Mill Top, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Exchange Street, Deal, CT14 6AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Exchange Street, Deal, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Middle Street and Beach Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Middle Street, North Street, Beach Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

High Street, Eastry, CT13 0HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Eastry, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sandwich Road and Lower Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, Dover Road, Lower Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hurst Lane, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hurst Lane, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite Capel Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hurst Lane, Cauldham Lane, Hockley Sole Lane, Capel Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mill Lane, Eastry, CT13 0JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Eastry, on or after 11th November 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Gore Lane and High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Gore Lane, Woodnesborough Lane, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Old Park Avenue & Knights Way, Dover, CT16 2DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow vegetation cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Park Avenue & Knights Way, Dover, on or after 26th November 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The restrictions will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only.

Old Park Avenue will be closed the entire length. A prohibition of parking will be imposed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Knights Way will be closed the entire length. A prohibition of parking will be imposed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shipmans Way, Pilgrims Way, Old Park Hill, Pioneer Road, A256 Crabble Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ratling Road, Aylesham, CT3 3HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ratling Road, Aylesham, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the railway bridge to the junction of Hallsdown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ratling Road, B2046 Adisham Road, Spinney Lane, Ackholt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Saunders Lane, Ash, CT3 2BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Saunders Lane, Ash, on or after 25th November 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside British Energetics, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Saunders Lane, Sandwich Road, New Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
