What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Various Roads, Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse And Forest Town) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (M24-186)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse and Forest Town in the District of Mansfield The effects of the Order will be :

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Butt Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with A60 Leeming Lane South, to its junction with Tennyson Avenue.

b. A60 Leeming Lane South, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Springwood Drive, to its junction with Oxford Street.

c. A6117 Old Mill Lane, Mansfield - From its junction with A60 Leeming Lane South, to its junction with A6117 Old Mill Lane, Forest Town.

d. A6117 Old Mill Lane, Forest Town - From its junction with Sandlands Way, to its junction with A6117 Mansfield.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 20:00 Hours until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

a. Butt Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with A60 Leeming Lane South, to its junction with Tennyson Avenue.

b. A60 Leeming Lane South, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with Springwood Drive, to its junction with Oxford Street.

c. A6117 Old Mill Lane, Mansfield - From its junction with A60 Leeming Lane South, to its junction with A6117 Old Mill Lane, Forest Town.

d. A6117 Old Mill Lane, Forest Town - From its junction with Sandlands Way, to its junction with A6117 Mansfield.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required. 

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows :  From 20:00 Hours, Monday 4th November 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 16th November 2024. 

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be : a. Mansfield Road - Church Hill - Welbeck Road - Warsop Road and Vice Versa

b. A616 Ollerton Road - A616 Back Lane - A616 Wellow Road - A616 Newark Road - A616 Ollerton Road - A616 Great North Road - Cattle Market Roundabout - A617 Kelham Road - A617 Main Road - A617 Micklebarrow Hill - A617 Wheatgrass Hill - A617 Newark Road - A617 Kirklington Road - A617 Hockerton Road - A617 Main Street - A617 Kirklington Road - A617 Lockwell Hill and Vice Versa 

c/d. A6117 Old Mill Lane - A6117 Pump Hollow Road - A6117 Violet Hill - A6117 Oak Tree Lane - A6191 Southwell Road West - A6191 Rock Hill - A6191 Rock Hill - A6191 Ratcliffe Gate - A6009 St Peters Way - A60 Woodhouse Road - A60 Leeming Lane South and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on 4th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Resurfacing Works.
